Available on: Personal, Professional, Business plans
Notion is productivity and note-taking web application where you can manage, plan or even run an entire company and do it exactly the way you need.
The Notion plugin will create a new database as a table under any page of your choice. For each submission the plugin will create a new page as a row in the table.
Note: Notion is only available to customers who have enabled the Workflow labs feature. To enable the Workflow labs feature, please visit https://formspree.io/account and enable the Workflow feature.
Form Setup
Before using the Notion plugin you must create a form to collect support requests. Any HTML form will work.
In addition, you can use the validation rules system to set the column type. To do that you will need to create your rules before enabling the Notion plugin. Also, if you add new form inputs or validation rules, the database will be updated with that data.
No fields are mandatory.
Connecting to Notion
In this example we will create validation rules to set the columns types but keep in your mind that it's not necessary. If you don't create validation rules, all columns will be considered as text type.
First click the Workflow tab and name and create your validation rules.
In this example, we have numeric, datetime, file, email and url validation rules so the Notion plugin can set the column types as desired.
Then create and enable the Notion plugin clicking on Add new on actions section.
You will be redirect to select a page where the new database will be created. You can select more than one page on the authorization, then you will be redirected to choose one of those selected. If you selected only one page, the plugin and the database will be automatically created.
Select the pages you want and click on Allow access.
After the authorization flow you need to select a page where the database will be created.
Once you do, click Connect and the database will be created considering the last submission fields and validation rules that we added. If you don't have any submission in the selected form, a simple database will be created. When you get the first submission the database will be updated with the submission fields.
Once you connected you will be redirect to the settings modal with the workspace and database URL. Click on Go button and you will be redirected.
You can now see that the column types are set by the validation rules.
